Zipcar is the perfect alternative to car ownership. With Zipcar, you can use vehicles by the hour or by the day. Further more you don't pay for gas or insurance. Car sharing just might change the way Portlanders think about transportation.

Zipcar is offering Madison South neighbors a discounted annual membership for $35 (normally $50) and waiving the application fee (a savings of $25). What's more, you'll get $35 of driving credit to get you started!

Every Zipcar that hits the Portland streets takes 15 personally owned vehicles off the road.

How? Nearly 40% of Zipcar members either sell/donate their car or choose not to buy a car as a result of joining.
